Kelly Baker
Client Ambassador

Kelly is a delightful part of the GCES team who handles many clerical duties around the office with efficiency and attention to detail. Her ability to make sure that data is entered accurately while processing incoming and outgoing mail and business documents with acumen are just part of what makes Kelly such a valuable asset.

Kelly comes from a medical background which she has applied to her work at GCES. First and foremost is compassion and empathy for our clients and their various retirement needs. The medical field is ever-changing, and so is the financial world, and Kelly understands and adapts quickly.

Kelly and her family moved to the Indiana, PA area in 1996. Part of her excitement about working for GCES is that we are a local company doing our utmost to help our clients while serving our local community. Kelly serves by volunteering for the National Sisterhood United for Journeyman Linemen (NSUJL) and Hearts and Hands Outreach for the Linelife Foundation. Her husband, Matt, is a third-generation journeyman lineman—a difficult and dangerous job. The NSUJL and Linelife Foundation provide financial and emotional support services to fallen/injured linemen and their families when there is an accident or fatality, and they do many fundraisers throughout the course of the year.

Kelly is a self-described “marching band mom”; their son Nathan will be graduating from high school in 2021 and has been involved in band since he was in fourth grade. Kelly loves live music and her tastes range from country to rock-and-roll. She has seen Jason Aldean every year for the past five years, Mötley Crüe multiple times, and has even seen Sir Paul McCartney in concert (she’s a huge Beatles fan).

In addition to riding their Harley, Kelly and husband Matt make wine with Matt’s family —everything from pinot noir to chardonnay. The family purchases enough grape juice from local wineries to make up to 600 bottles a year, and even has their own label. Kelly also likes to read books and she began knitting classes two years ago. She makes dishcloths and slippers and hopes to move up to making a blanket someday.
